Official Statement from Rolling Hills Equine Regarding Recent Actions Taken by the Western Region Recovery and Wellness Consortium (RWC)
At Rolling Hills Equine, we take great pride in the mental health and wellness services we provide to individuals and families across Wisconsin. It has come to our attention that the Western Region Recovery and Wellness Consortium (RWC) has made public statements regarding alleged "billing irregularities" involving our organization and has subsequently blacklisted us and our contracted providers from offering services under the Medicaid program.
We want to make it unequivocally clear that these allegations are unfounded. The Office of Inspector General (OIG), after receiving the complaint, did not find any evidence of wrongdoing and has confirmed that there is no active investigation, no fraud referral, and no payment suspension involving Rolling Hills or its providers. We have received written confirmation from the OIG affirming that we are not under investigation.
Despite these facts, the RWC continues to withhold payments owed to RHE and unjustly restrict our ability to serve the community, leaving both our dedicated providers and the individuals we serve without necessary care. This decision has caused significant disruption to the delivery of mental health services in the region, including critical care for Medicaid recipients who rely on continuity of care.
We are working diligently with our legal team to address this matter and restore the trust and services we provide. We remain fully committed to transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of care for our clients. We believe that the actions taken by the RWC are unjustified, and we are actively seeking a resolution that will allow us and our contracted providers to resume our mission of improving mental health and wellness across our community.
In the meantime, we thank our clients, partners, and community members for their continued support and understanding during this challenging time. We will keep you updated as we work to resolve this situation.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Sincerely,
Josh and Jill Edhlund
